ABOUT
Growing up an only child in a small mountain town called Yamasaki in Hyogo Japan, you would think I’d grown up surrounded by animals. Truth is, I never had pets, didn’t like bugs, didn’t farm (because I thought that was my grandma’s job). That is, until few years ago when I met Robocop the cat. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. All I knew is that I had a perma-smile when he came home with me. I think that was the moment I truly understood first-hand the joy of relationships initiated without words. I’ve always been a believer of language beyond words, which is probably why I picked up painting, and the relationship between humans and animals fascinates me. Now a proud parent of two cats, I cannot imagine a life without these relationships, where no human words are uttered yet thousands of sentiments are felt.
